Skin Candid may earn a commission when a reader purchases through certain product links. This does not increase the price paid by the reader.
This disclosure explains how affiliate relationships work, how they are labelled and why they do not control our editorial decisions.
Plain-language summary
Some links may earn us money. The recommendation must still stand on its own.
If a link is an affiliate link, Skin Candid may receive a commission after a qualifying purchase. The retailer or affiliate network tracks the referral and pays the commission.
Affiliate availability does not decide whether a product is included, excluded, ranked or recommended.
How affiliate eligibility works
Editorial approval comes before commercial eligibility.
A product cannot become affiliate-eligible merely because a tracked link or commission is available.

Retailer choice
We may link to a non-affiliate retailer when it offers the correct product version, better availability or a more suitable reader experience.
Corrections
Commercial relationships do not prevent us from correcting, downgrading or removing a recommendation.
Reader cost
Affiliate commissions normally do not increase the purchase price.
When a reader uses an affiliate link, the retailer may pay Skin Candid a percentage of the qualifying sale or another agreed referral fee.

- The wording explains that Skin Candid may earn a commission
- The reader is told that this does not add a separate fee
Link-level handling
- Affiliate links use appropriate sponsored or nofollow attributes
- Redirects and tracking links should lead to the stated retailer
- Broken or unavailable offers should be removed or replaced
- Regional product versions should not be silently mixed

Prices and availability
Product offers can change after a page is published.
Retailers control prices, stock, delivery, returns, taxes, regional access and promotions. Skin Candid cannot guarantee that a product will remain available or that a displayed price will remain current.
Readers should confirm the exact product name, size, formula, regional version and final checkout price before purchasing.
Current launch position
Skin Candid may publish before affiliate programmes are active.
During the traffic-building stage, product pages may use official or non-affiliate retailer links.

Affiliate links and sponsorships are not the same commercial relationship.

A brand or commercial partner pays for a defined placement, campaign, content project or advertising service.
Sponsored content receives explicit sponsorship labelling and is governed by the separate Advertising and Sponsorship Policy.
