Comparisons

Choose between similar ingredients

Two ingredients that seem to do the same thing rarely deserve the same answer. Each comparison here separates evidence, irritation and routine fit by goal, not by declaring one ingredient the universal winner.

Why we don’t declare a single winner

Ingredients that get compared side by side are usually being compared because they’re both reasonable options, not because one is secretly better across the board. A “winner” framing hides the thing that actually matters: which ingredient fits your specific concern, skin type and routine.

Each comparison instead breaks the decision down by goal, points out where the evidence genuinely differs, and flags when combining both is (or isn’t) worth the added irritation risk.
